Basel Wedding Photographer – Sandrine & Gaëtan

Hey,

Sandrine and Gaëtan’s wedding was my last wedding of 2013. They got married early December on a sunny and clear day. Not too cold, not too warm. Just perfect. A small and intimate wedding in Basel, together with friends an family. Relaxed atmosphere and plenty of time to enjoy the day. In other words, a really good wedding day.

To all couples planing your wedding. Don’t forget what it is all about, the two of you and the love your share. Leave some time in your schedule to enjoy that love. Make sure you have time to stop and feel what it is you are celebrating.

Great set. Love how you also empathise the mundane like the tea cup and the bare bulb. That one of them sat on the white seat with the broom and bucket, wonderful. Also the one with them on the train defocussed, bit like a Robert Frank or Walker Evans shot. Also love the one behind the curtains, stunning work.ReplyCancel

These are all so lovely! I am particularly drawn to the photo of them behind the curtain. It reminds me of an Emmit Gowin photo.ReplyCancel

Particularly enjoyed the B&W snaps of them walking outside at the start of your post. But that later image with the curtain – bravo!ReplyCancel

  • Hej/Hi!

Writing in english as I assume the couple doesn’t speak Swedish… :)
Love how you’ve captured her serious, nervous face in the beginning and how she totally “opens up” in the biggest smiles once she meets her loved on.
Also how you play with the light/exposure.
Last but not least, amazing locations (such a variety too!) and I smile when I see the photos of smartphone photos being taken – what a great way to handle “the smartphone at weddings age”. Keep up the good work!ReplyCancel
