Lake Titicaca – Peru

Hey,

With a surface elevation of 3,812 metres (12,507 ft) a glas of wine will get you far, share a bottle and finding your way back to the hotel will be challenging. I guess mixing wine with some altitude sickness isn’t to recommend. Next day we got up real early in the morning to spend two full days out on the lake, including staying with a local family at an island called Amantani. We did an evening hike up to the highest point of the island, from there I and Malin shared one of the most amazing sunsets I have ever seen.

Lake Titicaca is a great experience and it is very interesting to see how the different cultures were using their natural resources. Even though it sometimes felt like at 6pm they got changed back in to jeans,  to head back in to land and finish their Playstation game. Most of the things we did felt very genuin though.

As this whole series from South America it is all shot on analog film from Kodak and Fujifilm.

Below are the first three posts from our trip:
Inca Trail
Lima
Cusco

Next post we are off to Bolivia and La Paz.
